Following the pantomime work placement I did just over a month ago I decided as my next steps I should do more pantomimes so I did the one in Brixham, this meant that I had to do full dame makeup that was dramatic but easy to replicate night after night. Alongside the dame makeup I also did male stage makeups that was designed to even out skin complexion and darken it up so that the men weren't getting washed out from the stage lights. I did this over all of the nights and days that this panto was going on for. I think this was a good experience for me as it was a chance to continue using the skills I learnt from the last panto but without the college supervision I had at the last panto. It was also a good chance to learn how to work professionally with friends around as I had known the people I was doing the makeup on for a long time before the panto happened. If I was to do this panto again i would plan for it better like my teacher had done for the previous panto I did, this planning would include things like face charts, time plans and product preparation lists. I am hoping to do another show like this one as I really enjoyed it.
